Lead Engine Programmer
Reporting to: Lead Programmer

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced console programmer who is interested in pushing the boundaries of next generation consoles to their limits. The successful applicant will lead a team developing all aspects of a game specific engine for 360, PS3.
Qualifications Required:
- A good BSc or equivalent in a relevant subject such as maths, computer science or engineering.
- A proven level of in-depth experience developing on next generation platforms.
Essential skills:
- Strong 3D maths skills and an in-depth understanding of next-gen rendering techniques.
- Fluent C++
- Strong assembly language skills coupled with a detailed knowledge of 360 and/or PS3 architecture.
Preferred skills:
Post processing techniques.
Multi threaded / multi core techniques on both 360 and PS3 platforms.
The ability to communicate ideas clearly to the rest of the team.

Senior Graphics Programmer
Reporting to: Lead Programmer

Position Overview
To work with the PC graphics engine team developing Total War. This is an opportunity to push the limits of graphics programming, and to make a real contribution to a world-leading strategy game franchise. This role will be both varied and challenging, including working with rendering systems for thousands of men, advanced smoke and impostering systems, and many other areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- To be involved with researching and implementing new graphics related technologies
- Program modules of the game as assigned and scheduled with the Lead Programmer or the Project Manager including design, implementation, de-bugging and documentation
- Write clean, well-commented and re-useable code
- Help mentor less experienced programmers
- Take part of the planning process and with the Lead Programmer or the Project Manager, define realistic deadlines and deliverables and adhere to them
- Communicate early any impediment that may arise and elaborate alternative solutions
- Adhere to the companyÕs high-quality programming standards and development process
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Strong interest in researching and implementing new graphics related technologies with a good current knowledge of graphics techniques (e.g. imposters, shadow mapping, ambient occlusion)
- At least one published AAA game, preferably on PC but Xbox 360 also acceptable
- Expert in Direct3D, with deep knowledge of D3D9 and good familiarity with D3D10
- Deep experience developing with DirectX 9
- Experienced and proficient in C++
- Mathematically strong, with good knowledge of all parts of the 3D pipeline
- Experience with writing and maintaining shaders in HLSL
- Self-motivated, capable of taking ownership of a task and seeing it through to completion
Desirable:
DirectX 10 knowledge and experience

We are looking an intelligent and experienced senior programmer to join our established tools and core technology team. Reporting to the Lead Tools Programmer you will be at the forefront of developing new engine technologies and be contributing to our AAA strategy games.

- Create tools for PC and next-generation platforms across multiple AAA titles.

Game Designer Ð Total War
Reporting to: Lead Designer

Position Overview
As part of the design team, be involved in: the design and implementation of gameplay features; the creation of content; and the ongoing improvement of Total War titles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, document and communicate to others game features.
- Research and create content to maximise use of gameplay features.
- Work as part of the team to resolve design and play issues as they emerge during development.
- ritically review the product at each stage of development.
- Iteratively balance and fine tune game play elements.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Test games in development for software bugs
Enter bugs clearly and accurately into our bug database
Verify and recreate bugs as required
Follow test plans and undertake specific technical tests
Report additional balancing, design and accessibility problems
Discuss bugs as required on a day-to-day basis with our development teams
Key Requirements
A keen enthusiasm for gaming
Good communication and reporting skills
Recommended Requirements
At least a year of games testing experience
Strategy games testing experience
Some testers may have supporting roles, so expertise in a specific game area is an asset (e.g. audio, art or scripting).
